Research & Development of A Clear Face Mask
for Children & Adults
A Non-Profit Pandemic Response
We are working in response to Covid-19 pandemic and the yearly environmental haze disaster to develop SAFER(R) - a mask to save lives and life in Asia.
We are looking for university and manufacturing partners to help us in the design and manufacturing process. We want to create normal living again - both for children to return to schools safely; and for adults to return to work safely. |

Limitations of the Current Disposable Masks we Wear
The use of face masks prevented many of us from seeing each other’s lips in everyday interactions. Face masks cover about 60% to 70% of a face, hiding the lower part which is particularly useful for identifying emotional expressions and for supporting communication through lip reading, especially in presence of background noise

A mask that does not allow the virus in, but allows one to breathe comfortably is important.
All masks are not equal. |
|
Its difficult to tell if the disposable mask one has purchased is substandard or fake. And there are many out there which are.
|
|
One of the biggest complaints about masks is they fog up the glasses. So one possibility is a strapless N95 mask. But, its not reusable.
|
|
Research has been accelerated towards improving the quality and performance of face masks, e.g., by introducing properties such as antimicrobial activity and superhydrophobicity. This review will cover mask-wearing from the public health perspective, the technical details of commercial and home-made masks, and recent advances in mask engineering, disinfection, and materials and discuss the sustainability of mask-wearing and mask production into the future.
